The Homs Directorate of Education has received 5,000 rapid test samples to detect the Corona virus, which will be applied to suspected cases among students and educational staff instead of the PCR test in the dispensaries of the School Health Directorate.
The Head of the School Health Department in the Homs Education Directorate, Dr. Ghiath Abbas, indicated that 5 dispensaries belonging to the district were approved to conduct rapid tests in them, namely the central dispensary, the martyr Muhammad Jihad Ramadan dispensary, Tal Kalakh dispensary, Shain dispensary and Al-Mukharram dispensary.
He explained that with the aim of training school health cadres on the mechanism of using rapid testing methods and dealing with suspected cases, the two-day training workshop began today.
Abbas stated that the rapid test will be applied at the beginning of the second semester of the current academic year and will save effort and time, as the result will appear within 10 to 15 minutes.
And the Ministry of Education had recently received 70,000 rapid test samples to detect the Corona virus from the World Health Organization.
