A deadly industrial accident occurred at a site in the West Kowloon Cultural District. At about 4 pm today (24th), a middle-aged male worker was reportedly overwhelmed by a machine at a site in the West Kowloon Cultural District on Austin Road West. He was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to on-site sources, the machine involved was a crane, and the worker was crushed into a coma and his throat was slit. He was rescued by a colleague on the site and sent to the hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
