The Kwai Tsing Neighborhood United Front has interviewed nearly 200 residents of Kwai Chung Village by means of a questionnaire survey from yesterday to this afternoon, of which over 170 live in the enclosed Yat Kwai House and Ying Kwai House.

They expressed that they were deeply dissatisfied with the meal arrangement. The score was only 1.98 out of 5 points, which was not satisfactory. 30% of the respondents said that after receiving the government food supply, it was still not enough to support a day’s life, and 23% Respondents said that they have never received government food subsidies, but they are still not allowed to buy takeaways.

As for the quarantine method, more than 80% of the respondents were also very dissatisfied with the quarantine arrangement. They criticized the authorities for not doing a good job of triage testing. Neighborhoods on several floors fell down for testing at the same time. A large number of residents were crowded in the elevator lobby, and the elevator was forced to burst. People have never disinfected lifts, and criticism has greatly increased the risk of infection.

One of the resident, Ms. Wu, who has two children, said that on the first day of the siege, "the door was knocked down at 12:00 in the middle of the night (testing), and several floors were shot at once." It’s too resistant, the air conditions are so bad, how can the Hong Kong government think about the spread of the virus?” She lamented that the public can only carry disinfectants with them and spray them everywhere, but the government has no relevant supplies, worrying about disinfection at home The facility was used less than 5 days.

The survey also found that many respondents believed that the siege affected their job prospects and also brought huge economic pressure. 11 respondents said that they had been fired by the company, and the nature of the work of the relevant respondents was unknown at this time.

Respondents urged the government to arrange triage testing to reduce the risk of infection caused by large gatherings of citizens, provide financial assistance to residents who have been under the siege and go to work, provide sufficient daily necessities and food, and provide emotional support.
