Emmanuel Macron's speech in Strasbourg, in which he expressed the wish that a dialogue between Europeans on their common security interests serve as the basis for discussions with Russia, has drawn criticism.
In the United States as in certain European countries, voices have reproached him for deviating from a Western consensus.
