The Hong Kong Speech Therapist Association was accused of publishing 3 children's picture books that contained seditious content. The prosecution applied for the case to be handed over to a judge designated by the National Security Law, stating that acts endangering national security are not limited to the four crimes stipulated in the National Security Law, and when the defendants Wu Qiaoyi and Li Wenling applied to the High Court for bail earlier and were refused bail, the case has been dismissed. It was ruled that it endangered national security.

The defence objected, arguing that this would affect the impartiality and independence of the case.

The designated judge of the National Security Law, Guo Weijian, finally approved the prosecution's application, and he acted as the designated judge to hear the case.

The case was adjourned to July 5 for a five-day trial, with a pre-trial review scheduled for April 21.


Five defendants: Li Wenling (26 years old, chairman), Yang Yiyi (27 years old, vice chairman) case, Wu Qiaoyi (28 years old, director), Chen Yuansen (25 years old, director) and Fang Zihao (26 years old, director).

The defendants are also accused of conspiring with Wong Hoi Ching and others in Hong Kong to print, publish, distribute, display and/or reproduce event publications, including three names, between June 4, 2020 and July 22, 2021. Books for "Guardian of Sheep Village", "Twelve Warriors of Sheep Village" and "Scavenger of Sheep Village", intended to arouse hatred or contempt for the SAR government or provoke rebellion; to cause hatred, contempt or provoke opposition to the judiciary of Hong Kong betray; incite others to use violence; and induce others to disobey the law or obey lawful orders.
