A rare copy of the first edition of the book "Yavie Omer" written by Rabbi Ovadia Yosef when he was only 17 is up for auction at the Winners Auction House (February 1 at 6:00 PM).
This is the first book written by Rabbi Ovadia, and which is an opening to the famous book series under the same name, which changed the face of Eastern jurisprudence.

The book, in which he dealt with Torah innovations in the order of the Tannaim and the Amoraim according to the issues of the Gemara, was written by the rabbi while he was a student at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
The book was written and printed in 1938, and is the opening letter to the young student who has become one of the most influential rabbis in recent centuries.

Rabbi Eliyahu Lopes himself praised the young student and made it clear that he sees great potential in him.

The auction house notes that "this pamphlet shows the great and famous proficiency of Maran in Shas and in the first and last rulings since he was a young student at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva."
