The woman was sentenced to a year and a half for receiving stolen goods. At first instance she was sentenced to life in prison for four of the ten alleged deaths. 'I still don't believe it. , the nurse who was on trial for the abnormal deaths of 10 patients in the Piombino hospital (Livorno) between 2014 and 2015, from the charge of multiple voluntary homicide.

These are the first words spoken by Fausta Bonino after the sentence.

The woman, accompanied by family members in the Florentine courthouse, burst into tears upon reading the device.

"They could not accuse me - he said - for some lies told by someone, there was nothing else".
