Munich – The Corona* summit on Monday (January 24) is intended to provide clarity in some areas with regard to the Omicron variant.
A first draft resolution* gives indications of what changes could come.
A prioritization of the PCR tests and uniform rules for vaccination are on the plan.
Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) made a clear statement shortly before the summit about the next steps for the Free State.
"Bavaria will not support any tightening in the prime ministers' conference," Söder told the

on Sunday .
Instead, he wants to relax the rules in some places.

Omikron is not Delta, so the measures cannot be adopted one-to-one, Söder told the newspaper.
"We want to enable more participation in culture, sport and youth work again." Already on Tuesday (January 18) after the cabinet meeting, Söder's ministers announced that they would decide on certain relaxations in these areas next week.
For art and culture, an adjustment of the capacity limitation from the previous 25 percent to 50 percent is conceivable in the event of a relaxation.
