Perhaps Markus Söder (CSU) thought that he would join the trend and push his ailing poll numbers a bit.

Söder posts a photo of his lunch on Instagram and gets praise from the CSU
While Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and the other prime ministers are preparing for the prime ministers' conference this Monday (January 24), Bavaria's head of state Söder prefers to strengthen himself with a good meal.
And what is the CSU chairman putting on his plate?
There was probably a German classic today in the Landtag canteen or in the Prinz-Carl-Palais.
Söder loaded up spinach with potatoes and three fried eggs.
He writes: “Spinach is healthy and I really like it.
A good refreshment before the MPK.” One could doubt that the picture is already an announcement for the conference later.
Does he want to plaster the traffic lights - spinach (greens), potatoes (FDP) and egg yolk (SPD, with a lot of imagination) - for lunch?

The CSU gave its own boss three "tense biceps" emojis.
As you learned as a child, spinach makes you big and strong.
Party colleague and member of the European Parliament, Marlene Mortler, commented: "It's a dream for me too, refined with a little cream." So far, his cabinet has kept a low profile, but comedian Fabian Köster responded immediately with a like.
The "heute-show" comedian has often snapped pictures of Söder and given them a snappy twist.
