The Education Bureau announced that in order to facilitate students to arrange vaccination through schools, schools (including secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens and kindergarten-cum-child care centres) can arrange group vaccination of students through 5 channels, including:

i. "Vaccination-funded school outreach", that is, the doctor's outreach vaccination service in schools, is only applicable to primary schools and kindergartens, and only Sinovac vaccines (5 years old or above) can be administered.

ii. Schools go to the community vaccination center in the form of group appointment to receive Sinovac vaccine (5 years old or above) or Fubitai vaccine (12 years old or above).

iii. Schools make group appointments to the designated Student Health Service Centres under the Department of Health (not applicable to kindergartens), and only receive Sinovac vaccines (primary and secondary school students aged 5 or above).

iv. New crown vaccine mobile vaccination station to school outreach, can be vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine (5 years old or above) or Fubitai vaccine (12 years old or above).

v. Schools go to the Children's Community Vaccination Center by group appointment, and can only receive Sinovac vaccines (5-11 years old).

The government has announced that children aged 5 to 11 can be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Parents can make an appointment

In addition, parents and guardians can also make an appointment for their children to be vaccinated directly through the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme website.

The authorities will notify the authorities of the COVID-19 vaccination arrangements for special schools.

Elementary school full-day face-to-face classroom arrangements

In addition, in response to the reduction in vaccination to children aged 5 to 11, the Education Bureau has updated the arrangements for full-day face-to-face classrooms and related activities in primary schools in the 2021/22 school year with reference to the current model of secondary schools.

If individual schools can achieve a certain vaccination rate, that is, the whole school directly employs teaching staff (including teaching and non-teaching staff), and the number of people who have completed the second dose of the vaccine for more than 14 days reaches 70%; and has completed the following vaccinations for more than 14 days. If the number of students reaches 70% of the total number of students in the school, full-time face-to-face classes can be arranged.

If the school fails to resume full-day face-to-face classes for the whole school, but students at individual levels meet the relevant conditions, the Education Bureau may also allow the schools concerned to conduct full-day face-to-face classes and other activities for students at that level.

The Education Bureau also urged school staff, students and parents to get vaccinated as soon as possible. It also stated that it would continue to closely monitor the development of the epidemic, update classrooms and related arrangements in a timely manner, and notify stakeholders as soon as possible.

Children's injections|5 to 11 years old can be vaccinated from Kexing from tomorrow. 2.9 can make an appointment for Fubitai.
