Summary.
July 1942. In two days, the French State, under the authority of the Vichy regime, organizes the arrest of all Jews of foreign origin.
In Paris, more than 13,000 people were arrested and taken to the Vélodrome d'Hiver, in the 15th arrondissement.
Among them, Joseph Weismann, an 11-year-old boy from Montmartre.
After several days of waiting in inhuman conditions, his parents, his two sisters and him were deported to the Beaune-la-Rolande transit camp (Loiret).
He is the only one of his family to be able to escape, and to survive.
On the occasion of the release on January 27 of “After the roundup” (Les Arènes edition), a comic strip on its history, Joseph Weismann agreed to testify in Code source at the microphone of Ambre Rosala.
