The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus, Lattakia and Hama are impassable or impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice and fog.
The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin today that all the main roads in the Damascus Countryside Governorate are passable, except for some roads in the Qatana area, which are the Qatana Isam road, Qalaat Jandal and Arnat al-Raymah, Qassem, with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow, and the Kafr Qouk Rakhlah road, which is difficultly passable due to the formation of ice.
In Lattakia, all roads are passable except for the Joubt Burghal al-Ghab road, all the roads leading to the district of Sallefa, the al-Ghab broadcasting station, the Dalia road, Ma’arin Batmoush, the Markiya road, Maqamat Bani Hashem, al-Masitra, al-Qardah al-Ghab, and Qardaha, Juba Burghal, Jubbāl al-Sha’ra al-Ghab, and Kharayeb Ya Shūt al-Ghāb al-Ghāb, Bastweer and Beit. And Beit Yashut in Chile, all of them are impassable due to the accumulation of snow. As for the Jableh Beit Yashut jungle road, it was difficult because of the accumulation of snow.
In Hama, the roads of Nahr al-Bared, Beit Yashout, Shatah, Jubbeh Bargal, Qardah, Ain al-Krum, and Jurin Slunfa are impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of fog. Otherwise, all roads in the governorate are passable.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to exercise caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle from the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, tire safety, adherence to the signs that specify speeds and gradually reduce speed on Turns and slopes, maintain a real safe distance with other vehicles, and avoid distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.
The Traffic Department allocated the numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
