The Czech Foreign Ministry announced that it does not plan to withdraw Czech diplomats from its embassy in Ukraine or their families.
Ministry spokeswoman Lenka Do explained in a statement today that a working group within the ministry follows up on developments in Ukraine daily and is assessing the situation, adding that we are ready to take the necessary steps to protect our employees and citizens who are on Ukrainian territory.
And the European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, called earlier today not to exaggerate about the Ukrainian crisis, noting that the Union would not currently request the withdrawal of diplomatic families from Ukraine, as the United States did.
NATO continues to strain the situation in Ukraine by spreading false allegations, as it announced today its intention to put reserve forces on alert and send ships and fighters to Eastern European countries.
