Region – New hunting consultant in the Weilheim-Schongau district: Stefan Zimmermann from Antdorf has taken over the office.
The forester is a huntsman in Frauenrain.
District Administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß (CSU) appointed Stefan Zimmermann as the new hunting consultant for Weilheim-Schongau on January 1st.
For formal reasons, the appointment of the Antdorfer is limited until March 31, 2022, until the end of the hunting year, the district office announced.
After that, an extension for a further five years is promised.
Participate in shooting planning
Zimmermann has lived in the district since 1987 and has been a huntsman for the Frauenrain hunting cooperative since 2015. He graduated in forestry and has had his hunting license since 1987. The new hunting consultant works full-time at the TU Munich in the field of water research in Iffeldorf. The district administrator thanked the new hunting consultant for making himself available for the office. “The challenges in the field of forest and hunting are diverse and extensive. We are convinced that he will master these tasks excellently," says Jochner-Weiss. In the future, Zimmermann's task will essentially consist of advising the Lower Hunting Authority and the Hunting Advisory Board on all technical issues. This includes planning the shooting of roe deer and red deer, feeding and reducing the closed season.
