Yehudit Bauman arrived today (Tuesday) with her daughter Karin and her partner, singer Shimi Tavori, in the Knesset to participate in the Health Committee on Eating Disorders.

"The issue of eating disorders has been under the rug for years," said MK Limor Magam Telem, chairman of the Eating Disorders Prevention Lobby.
"During the Corona, eating disorders have been exacerbated by dozens of times. These days I am sitting with the Ministry of Health to direct the budgets I have achieved to the hospital eating disorder treatment system and community care. According to the data we have collected, since the corona eating disorders treatment has increased by 40 percent. A thousand people in the State of Israel suffer from eating disorders, and the standards that exist today simply do not provide enough to deal with the phenomenon.

"I have been accompanying Karin Bauman for several months and helping her in every way possible. Judith is a real lioness who fights with all her might in systems with all the difficulties," she said of the struggle of the mother who supports her daughter.
"I fought very hard to get budgets for the issue of eating disorders. To my great joy, the Minister of Finance approved a significant budget of NIS 30 million for me.
"These days I am sitting with the Ministry of Health to direct these budgets. We want to direct the budgets to community care and maintaining the therapeutic continuum, training caregivers and home hospitalization."
