The US Coast Guard announced that 39 people are missing as a result of their boat sinking off the coast of Florida today.
A statement published by the Coast Guard on its Twitter account stated that it had received a report of an overturned boat and the finding of a single survivor, as it was found that the boat had left the Bahamas several days ago and sank as a result of bad weather.
The Coast Guard added that it was suspected of human smuggling, and immediately the relevant authorities were informed to conduct searches for the missing, while an investigation was opened to find out the details of the accident.
