A 30-year-old worker was killed today (Tuesday) by a ceiling collapse in a building under renovation on Zerubavel Street in Tel Aviv.

MDA forces were called to the scene and rescued another 24-year-old worker in a light condition.

MDA medics Yosef Nahon and Shimon Pinchas said: "When we arrived at the scene, a 24-year-old worker left the building fully conscious and with a head injury.

During the treatment he told us that the ground floor ceiling had collapsed and there was another worker trapped inside the building.

We went inside to give him medical treatment but since he was trapped he could not be reached and we waited until he was rescued.

We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we had to determine his death on the spot. "
