After Shas chairman Aryeh Deri resigned from the Knesset, the plea agreement between him and the State Attorney's Office in the tax evasion case will be read today (Tuesday) and his approval will be obtained.

The offenses will not be disgraced and he will be able to be re-elected to the Knesset in the next elections.

Deri admitted under the agreement in two tax offenses and will pay a fine of NIS 180,000.

In return the charge against Deri will be softened and he will not want actual imprisonment nor service jobs.

The affair relates to three different cases of offenses.

The first was made in 2013 as part of a real estate transaction in which he sold his brother an apartment in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem while submitting false reports to the real estate tax authorities. Another case concerns income he received from the Green Ocean investment fund. Accounts on "Consulting".

The third case concerned income from a subsidiary of Egged and businessman Moshe Haba.

For the consulting and marketing lines he gave them in 2012, he received a donation of 180 shekels, which was transferred to the Carmei Ha'ir Association, which belongs to his associate Yehuda Azrad.

Last month, tapes of the Attorney General, Avichai Mandelblit, were released, in which Malin was heard about the investigation files in Deri's case that were transferred to the Israel Police Attorney's Office, from which "nothing came up" and called them "a mouse."

"The Deri case came to me as a very serious corruption case, an investigation of issues and things as if it looked wow, big, yes? Not even a mouse was born from this case, I mean nothing," Mandelblit said in the recordings.

He explained that following the investigation other things came up, tax offenses, but they are said to be in completely different districts of offense.

"From researching a big story that doesn't exist, you come to other stories. Can you ignore them? Unequivocally no, you can't, you get to other things, to completely different worlds and discover things," the spokesman said in the recordings.
