There is already a mandatory test for school attendance in Lower Saxony.
Now comes another important area.
Hanover – Many parents in Lower Saxony have to prepare for a corona test in daycare centers from February 15th.
This obligation is then provided three times a week for children from the age of three, as a spokesman for the Ministry of Education told the German Press Agency on Tuesday evening in Hanover.
This rule should be incorporated into the Corona Ordinance.
Minister of Education Grant Hendrik Tonne (SPD) had already announced the compulsory daycare test last week.
However, a specific date has not yet been set.
The Greens and the Verdi trade union had emphatically advocated the introduction of this obligation.
The ministry had already announced last week that schoolchildren in Lower Saxony would still have to test themselves for Corona every day in February.
The compulsory test for this group, which was previously limited to the end of January, will continue at the beginning of the new school year.
It was also already known that the obligation to test should also apply to vaccinated and recovered schoolchildren in the future, provided they have not yet received a booster vaccination.
