The 18 panels of the Legislative Council held their first meeting today (25th), and almost all the chairmen and vice-chairmen were elected, with the only exception being the vice-chairman of the Judiciary and Legal Affairs Committee. Rong Haien of the New Democratic Party competes with Mr. Lin Xinqiang, a member of the legal profession. The battle for vice-chairmen will be staged in the evening.
The chairpersons of the 18 committees are all held by re-elected members. It is reported that after coordination, half of the committees were chaired by the previous chairman "冧冧".
As for the post of Vice-Chairman, "New Ding", a member of the 15 Panels, is appointed.
Hong Wen, Lu Hanmin, Chen Zhongni and Qiu Dagan, who had to be quarantined earlier because of their attendance at the Hong Weimin party, today is their first day of meeting after their isolation. Among them, Qiu Dagan will serve as the vice chairman of the Committee on Information Technology and Broadcasting.
The Manpower Committee is re-elected by the Federation of Trade Unions Luk Chung-hsiung without competition.

Lu Songxiong pays attention to the rights of the quarantined and invites the government and the EOC to hold a meeting
The Manpower Committee is chaired by the Federation of Trade Unions Luk Chung-hsiung, who will be re-elected without competition.
He said after the meeting that he was concerned about whether workers in Kwai Chung Village who were forcibly quarantined could receive sick leave certificates, and believed that the government should issue sick leave certificates to workers in home isolation so that workers could receive sick leave allowances.
He pointed out that at present sick leave certificates are only issued to persons under quarantine in Penny's Bay, and the labor protection arrangements for home isolation are not clear. He hoped that the Labour Department would further clarify and confirm the rights and interests of employees, so as to prevent employers from violating the Disability Discrimination Ordinance and unreasonably deducting annual leave Or labor leave, or even layoff workers.
Lu Songxiong said that he has invited the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Food and Health Bureau, and the EOC to participate in the next meeting of the Human Services Committee, hoping to protect the rights and interests of wage earners.
