Does the world need a Pepsi-flavored donut? | Israel today

2022-01-25T09:45:44.902Z

Donut with Pepsi-flavored cream, chocolate with Godiva and ketchup made by the Queen of England • Where can these coveted foods be obtained, and how were they created?

Or Mae Godiva

Where can you get Godiva's hot, rich and especially thick chocolate?

At McDonald's Japan, thank you for asking.

The Rising Sun branch of the fast food chain has teamed up with the prestigious Belgian chocolate maker, and the pair of super-brands have launched the ultimate chocolate dish, served in a shaped glass and with Godiva chocolate chips on top, properly.

• Great deals in restaurants all over the country

But the bad news is, as mentioned, that the drink can only be purchased at Japanese Mac Coffee branches, and the last time we checked Japan was closed to tourists.

And if you have somehow managed to get to Japan, consider that a glass of regular Godiva chocolate costs 350 yen - about ten shekels, while the price of a large glass is 440 yen - a little more than 12 shekels.

Sounds cheap?

Depends on how you look at it: a regular hot drink at a Japanese coffee shop costs only NIS 2.7, so Godiva's chocolate is more than three times more expensive, but it's still a very reasonable price for a premium drink, especially compared to Israel.

Donut with gases

Pepsi-flavored donut, anyone?

With a "carbonated" filling and everything?

If the idea does it for you, you are not alone.

The soft drink maker has announced a partnership with famed donuts bakery Randy's Donuts, located in Inglewood, California.

Only in it can one find the rare tuffin, which is filled with Pepsi Cola flavored cream and fortified with popsicles to create the coveted gas effect.

The donut, offered in a limited edition, even boasts an edible coating of the Pepsi logo, and for five dollars you'll get a chubby one in a designed box next to a real Pepsi drink, because it's thirsty.

The collaboration will take place until February 20, so there is plenty of time to get organized on a flight.

And just for the sake of general knowledge: quite a few productions were filmed against the backdrop of the huge mythological donut outside the bakery, including the movies "Iron Man 2" and "Catch My Shorty", series like "The Entourage" and "Family in Disorder", and clips by Red Hot Chili Peppers And Justin Timberlake.

Royal ketchup

Queen Elizabeth of England is launching an official series of sauces, and we're totally serious.

There is ketchup, there is what is called "Brown Sauce" - a common sauce in the UK and Ireland made from tomatoes, dates, tamarind, spices and vinegar), and there are questions as to whether Her Majesty needs supplemental income.

The products have not yet been revealed, as well as if the 95-year-old queen cooked the recipes herself, but it was reported that the price of a bottle would be seven pounds (about 30 shekels) and that the sauces were "ideal for breakfast and at any hour of the day".

By the way, the new sauces are not the only official products of the British Royal Family.

In recent years, Elizabeth has launched a variety of alcoholic beverages, such as wine, gin and beer.

Common to all: They are produced on the grounds of Sandringham Estate, "Her Majesty's favorite country resort," owned by the royal family.

They even have an official store.
