Donation enables vehicle purchase

Generous donation: The Hubertus Altgelt Foundation supported the purchase of the new vehicle with 20,000 euros.

The Kreuth fire brigade has purchased a team vehicle.
This is thanks to a generous donation, for which the fire brigade tip now thanked.
Kreuth – At the end of October, the Kreuth fire brigade actually wanted to celebrate its 145th anniversary.
Everything was planned: a meeting in uniform at the fire station, a church procession, a joint service and also the dedication of a vehicle.
But then the corona incidence thwarted the plan and the festival was canceled.
Now a hard core met around Hannes Reich, the chairman of the fire brigade association in the fire station, to officially put the vehicle into service.

And above all, to thank Anton Lentner from the Altgelt Foundation.
She paid for the vehicle with a donation of 20,000 euros, the remaining 13,000 euros were raised by the Kreuth fire brigade association from their own pockets.
As Hannes Reich reports, Thomas Wolf, the former commander and current district fire chief, and the current commander, Benedikt Wurm, also played a key role in finding the vehicle.
It is an eight-seater Mercedes Benz Vito Tourer team vehicle that is used on many occasions, for security purposes and also as a lock for operations with breathing apparatus, says Reich.
It also has full radio equipment and BOS systems.
"We bought it used and picked it up in Cologne," reports the chairman.
