When Stabik arrived at the apartment, she noticed a number of planning failures that existed in it, to which she added the tenants' requests and thus approached the work of planning, with the goal of making the apartment the couple's dream apartment.

"The design process in the studio always begins with an illustration that illustrates the past, and this is how the couple's favorite sketch was chosen," she explains.

The apartment has a distinctly modern character, the color chosen includes dominant white, gray, natural wood and touches of black in the central space, while in the rooms the designer combined the colors blue and gray in a more prominent way, to create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Since these are seniors, Stabik also took this into account, introducing design motifs of accessibility: the door developers were expanded, the height of the selected marble in the kitchen was lowered, the kitchen was designed with space between the strips to allow a more comfortable passage and the narrow bathroom was expanded.

For the living room, a long sofa in light gray was chosen, and next to it were placed armchairs upholstered in black and white fabric with a playful pattern that gives a twist to the look.

Above the windows hung curtains of soft and sheer fabric, which give the space a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

A floating buffet designed and executed in custom carpentry, combines metal and wood and blends into a tall black metal library.

The kitchen of course received special attention in the renovation program - it was redesigned in the form of 2 strips, and opened to the living room.

The stove moved to a more hidden area (to the wall bordering the entrance wall) and the double sink was given a place of honor in the center of the open space.

This creates a much more inviting kitchen and with lots of storage space.

The color of the chosen kitchen is light with touches of wood in a natural look, and it has been adapted to have a light gray marble.

The dining room wall is covered with cracked oak slats that generate interest and correspond with the accents of the neighboring kitchen.

In this way, the dining area also embodies the link between the kitchen and the living room, and "attracts" the use of wood in all three common spaces, and combines the heat it radiates into the monochromatic color palette of the house.

Previously it was a large space with a casual look.

No more.

The bedroom in the master suite was redesigned, after the structural changes made combined 2 rooms into one space with a casual look and with wasted space and not functional. Stabik's goal at the couple's request was to produce an inviting and cozy suite like a hotel room, in colors that will not tire over time and radiate luxury. This is how the royal blue color on the wall was chosen. The room design incorporated various textile fabrics in the bed, armchair and bedding, and for the curtain, a linen fabric was chosen that brings softness and warmth to the room.

The TV was placed between the closet door and the bathroom door, and to blur the asymmetry created there, the designer used blackened wooden slats to balance the division of the wall.

In the bathroom of the master suite, a slightly different color was chosen from that of the rest of the house. The room is covered with gray marble-like tiles, on the floor parquet-like tiles add a dimension of warmth, the showers are wide and luxurious and a bathroom cabinet completes the look and provides plenty of storage space.

The guest room was designed in advance so that it could address many uses: as a study and creation room for the couple and as a guest room when the grandchildren come to visit.

Another bedroom is designed in shades of gray and white and is designed for the grandson who studies at the university and comes to sleep with grandparents occasionally.

What should be hidden, is hidden.

Everything else was opened and expanded.

General bathroom (Photo: Avi Kabalo)

The general bathroom was neither ergonomic nor design-wise: it had a long, narrow shower and a very narrow and small bathroom cabinet.

Therefore its structure is completely different: the room, which also functions as a guest toilet, has been significantly expanded, the shower is placed behind a wall so that it can not be seen from the front door, and a hiding cabinet has been built in personal carpentry for the washer and dryer.

At the entrance to the room there is a large and inviting bathroom cabinet and a toilet in a spacious and accessible space.

This creates a modular space that serves as a bathroom as well as a guest toilet.
