India, Mexico and South Korea recorded a record increase in the number of coronavirus infections during the past 24 hours.

Today, the Federal Ministry of Health in India announced 255,874 new infections and 614 deaths from the virus, bringing the total number of infections to 39,799,202, while the total number of deaths reached 490,462.

In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 17,938 new infections and 118 new deaths from the virus, bringing the total infections to four million and 685,767 cases, while the total deaths since the start of the Corona pandemic reached 303,301 cases.

And in a new record since the start of the pandemic in South Korea, driven by the rapid spread of the Omicron strain, the Korean Agency for Disease Control and Prevention announced 8,571 new infections, bringing the total number of infections to 749,979, while the total deaths reached 6588, after 23 new deaths were recorded.

In China, the National Health Committee announced the registration of 45 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of infections to 105,705, while no new deaths were recorded, so that the number remained constant at 4,636 cases.
