Yes, nobody checked that and said it wasn't true.
After all, the question wasn't entirely unjustified, which makes Biden's verbal interruption all the more incomprehensible - even if he might have thought his microphone was already switched off.
However, rising inflation could hurt Democrats in the midterm elections.
US President Biden should have known that too.
