In addition to a rule simplification for the culture and sports industry, Bavaria has also decided to end the cooperation with the Luca app.
Munich – Bavaria's cabinet decides to stop working with the Luca app.
That should be announced in the course of the day, our editors learned from circles in the Council of Ministers.
The app makes it possible to check in digitally, for example in a tavern, without having to waste paper when leaving your contact details.
But the program was used too seldom for contact tracing - so seldom that the Greens spoke of a "money-burning machine".
Corona: Bavaria decides from the Luca app
The state government paid almost 450,000 euros a month for this.
In the past few weeks, skepticism has also grown in the State Chancellery and the Digital Ministry as to whether these costs are offset by roughly comparable benefits.
A final stroke was now decided in the cabinet on Tuesday morning.
Söder cabinet adjusts Corona rain: Luca app off, relief for culture and sport
The cabinet around Markus Söder decided on Tuesday to make further adjustments to the corona measures.
In the future, twice as many spectators will be allowed at cultural events in Bavaria as before: in theaters, cinemas and other cultural events, a spectator capacity of up to 50 percent will be allowed again from Thursday - previously it was 25 percent.
At the same time, the complete ban on large national cultural events will be lifted: If more than 1000 spectators are expected, the spectator capacity may be utilized to a maximum of 25 percent.
As with major sporting events, there is an absolute upper limit of 10,000 spectators for concerts, for example.
The access rules (2G plus or 2G) remain unchanged, and FFP2 masks are mandatory at events.
