Ola Kravchenko testified today (Tuesday) in the retrial of Roman Zadorov, who is accused of murdering Tair Rada.

Kravchenko's testimony, represented by attorneys Tomer Schwartz and Daniel Haklai, is heard behind closed doors.

Ola's lawyers said that "although the State Attorney's firmly determined that there was no connection between her and the horrific murder of Tair Rada, Ola Kravchenko was forced to appear for testimony. We hope the district court will hear her words, directly and indirectly. "From the intensity of the terrible blood libel that was woven against her a decade ago. A blood libel that destroyed her life and even deeply wounded her soul."

Kravchenko's name was linked to the murder case after in 2012 her ex-partner, Adir Habani, testified against her to the police that she had murdered Tair Rada.

In her police investigations, Kravchenko said Habani's remarks were made as part of his revenge campaign against her after she broke up with him after living together for nine years.

She said he threatened her that he would slander her that she was the killer, abused her and distributed nude photos of her.

She also claimed against him that over the years he even raped her and beat her.

About six months ago, the prosecution announced that it was closing the investigation file against Kravchenko on the grounds of innocence.

The claim that she is the killer received a big echo in 2016, after the TV series "Shadow of Truth" aired, in which this theory was presented.

Habani was interviewed for this series and claims were also made that Kravchenko told this to two young women while she was hospitalized at a mental health medical center.

Supreme Court Justice Hanan Meltzer, who ruled in favor of a retrial, referred to the claims of Adv. Yarom Halevi, Zadorov's defense attorney, that Kravchenko was the killer. Meltzer wrote in his decision that Habani's incriminating version was problematic. "Weight should be given to them, in connection with Kravchenko's alleged involvement in the murder, certainly not those who have the power at this stage to 'turn the bowl upside down' and cast real doubt on the applicant's conviction. .

About two months ago, Kravchenko filed a NIS 5.4 million defamation lawsuit against Adv. Yarom Halevi and against the creators of the "Shadow of Truth" series.

On many occasions, Halevy repeatedly claimed that Kravchenko was the killer. A protest against the use made of quotes from past psychiatric treatments.

"Bringing quotes from my psychiatric treatment is criminal and morally wrong," she said. "It's easy to take a line or two from treatment and put the spotlight on it.

This is not the right thing to do, and it's awful for a lawyer to quote from conversations with a psychiatrist.

What you say in this room is supposed to be private and sacred.

I have nothing to hide, "she said at the time, claiming to Halevi that" he is trying to be my executioner, my judge and my interrogator.

I do not believe that a lawyer behaves in this way, it is a shameful, abusive and violent situation. "

Even before the retrial began, Halevy asked the Nazareth District Court to collect preliminary evidence from Kravchenko and impose a restraining order on her, but the judges rejected the request, and she will testify tomorrow.

Judge Meltzer's decision to hold a retrial was based, in the main, on the opinion of experts who touched on the length of time blood could leak from her body after death.

These opinions were submitted in relation to a shoe heel that was discovered on the toilet lid in the cell where the murder was allegedly committed - a heel that was determined to belong to Zadorov or those who were present at the murder scene after the body was discovered, and on which the deceased bled.

The new opinions of some of the experts who addressed this issue indicate that there is no possibility of blood flow from her body about five hours after the murder (the time difference between the time of the murder and the date of her discovery).

The possible meaning of this determination is that the footprint - which does not belong to Zadorov - was stamped at or near the time of the murder - and this discovery is inconsistent with the prosecution's version that the footprint on the toilet lid was stamped by an "anonymous extractor" who arrived at the scene. The body.
