The Baden-Württemberg trade association has welcomed the decision of the Administrative Court (VGH) to overturn the 2G rule in shops.
"However, this judgment must not mean that the state government is tightening the rules for retail in alarm level I as part of the new Corona regulation," said Managing Director Sabine Hagmann on Tuesday in Stuttgart.
Stuttgart - The association is calling for 2G and 3G to be completely abolished in retail, as in Bavaria.
The VGH in Mannheim had classified the freezing of alarm level II by the state government’s corona ordinance as probably illegal.
The VGH announced that the 2G rule provided for therein would be suspended with immediate effect.
For the time being, this means that in addition to those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, people with a current corona test (3G) can shop in stores again.

The VGH had already declared last week that freezing alert level II with strict restrictions, especially for the unvaccinated, was partially illegal.
The country should have returned to the normal alert level long ago.
In retail, for example, 3G would be possible again instead of 2G.
Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) had announced that he wanted to adjust or even tighten the rules at the alarm level.
