Russia drives heavy military equipment to the Belarusian border.
These recordings, accompanied by dramatic music, were released by the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is about a joint military maneuver with the Belarusians, which is called "Allied Resolve" - and is to take place on the border with Ukraine.
The Belarusian ruler Lukashenko announced that he would transfer "an entire contingent of troops" to the Ukrainian border.
The joint military exercise had been planned well in advance with Vladimir Putin.
Amid growing fears of Russian troops invading Ukraine AND growing tension between Russia and the West, Moscow presents more images: a naval exercise in the Baltic Sea, with twenty ships, in focus: anti-aircraft defenses.
And more recordings follow: These exercises took place in northern Russia, in Murmansk, and attacks and defenses against ground troops were simulated.
John Kirby, Pentagon Spokesman
"It seems very clear that Russia has no intention of de-escalating."
The Pentagon announced that it had placed around 8,500 troops in the United States on "high alert."
After the meeting with the allies, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that he would strengthen the military presence in Eastern Europe.
It was agreed that Russian aggression would come at a "high price".
Moscow's response to this: outrage - and counter-speech, published only as an audio recording:
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman
»Tensions are being exacerbated by information activities and concrete measures by the USA and NATO.
And when I speak of information activities, I mean the information hysteria that we are currently experiencing.
It is liberally riddled with a vast amount of false information, just the lies that are made public.
I mean the fakes.«
The concentrated flexing of the military muscles on the part of the Russians should not be a fake.
The timing of various military maneuvers is unlikely to be coincidental - whether on the Ukrainian border, with the Belarusian partner or, as this maneuver in the Arabian Sea shows, together with China.
And further exercises on “tactical maneuvers” are planned.
