District - The municipal company Awista-Starnberg points out that at the turn of the year a change in the disposal of polystyrene packaging came into force: from now on, polystyrene packaging such as molded parts, bowls and chips belong in the yellow bag.
Until now, Styrofoam from packaging could only be handed in at recycling centers. With this change, the waste management association simplifies waste separation for all citizens and at the same time adapts to the disposal practices of the surrounding districts. There, a common collection of packaging Styrofoam, with other lightweight packaging in the yellow bag, has been standard for years. Thanks to modern sorting technology in the disposal facilities, separate collection of Styrofoam and other packaging is no longer necessary.
In this context, the municipal company asks all residents of the district to
primarily use the 14-day street collection
for the disposal of the yellow bags
and only in exceptional cases, e.g.
B. in the case of occasional excess quantities, to bring the packaging to the recycling center.
