The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Sohail Abdul Latif, discussed in Minsk today with the Minister of Construction and Construction of Belarus Ruslan Barkhamovich the possible cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the fields of construction, housing and reconstruction.

During the meeting, Minister Abdel Latif pointed out the importance of reaching a memorandum of understanding to frame cooperation between the two countries in a way that would enable Syria to benefit from the capabilities that Belarus has in the field of reconstruction and construction.

The two ministers gave a detailed explanation of the work of the two ministries in both countries and the role they play in their fields of work.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Fadi Al-Salti Al-Khalil, Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, and the Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Amrani.

The meetings of the eighth session of the Syrian-Belarus Intergovernmental Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation will be held in Minsk tomorrow.
