The "vanlife", a headache for town halls

The proliferation of vans, these converted vehicles, is a challenge for municipalities. Unlike motorhomes, they can park anywhere.


Linda and Graham don't mind their van life.

Not even the frost that coated their windshield on the inside last night.

“The view is fantastic!”

exclaims Linda, sipping her tea in their Volkswagen Transporter, parked in front of Milady beach in Biarritz.

“We particularly appreciate that we can park so close to the beach in France and even everywhere in town.

This is not the case in Spain and even less in Great Britain where there are a lot of controls,”

adds Graham.

For Franck, parked a little further, the van is no longer a way of life but his very life:
