The three major U.S. stock indexes fell across the board on the day before the announcement of the interest rate results.

The Dow fell more than 800 points in the early part of Tuesday, and once rose more than 200 points. However, it lacked support at the end and fell slightly by 66 points. The recently sold technology stocks continued to be under pressure, and the Nasdaq fell by more than 2%.


The Dow Jones closed at 34,297 points, down 66 points or 0.99%; the S&P 500 closed at 4,356 points, down 53 points or 1.22%; the Nasdaq closed at 13,539 points, down 315 points or 2.28%.

Tech stocks continued to be under pressure as the Federal Reserve expects an imminent rate hike.

Netflix fell 5.35%, Huida fell 4.48%, Amazon fell 3.15%, Alphabet fell 2.96%, Facebook fell 2.77%, Microsoft fell 2.66%, Tesla fell 1.25%, and Apple fell 1.14%.

Bank and energy stocks benefited from economic recovery and high bond yields, with Bank of America up 1.98% and Citigroup up 2.25%.

t American Express results beat expectations, up 8.92%.

IBM and Johnson & Johnson also rose 5.65% and 2.86%, respectively.
