Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced that his country does not see today any threat of a possible "Russian invasion" of it.
According to Sputnik, Reznikov told reporters in the Verkhovna Rada today: “Kiev does not see the danger of a large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine starting today.. We are assessing the situation at a distance of 200 km from the border. To date, the Russian armed forces have not created a strike group that could launch a violent invasion of Ukraine.”
Yesterday, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov called on the media to de-escalate the escalation of the security situation in the country and not to increase tension and spread panic.
In a press briefing after the meeting of the Security Council of Ukraine, Danilov said: “Recently, there have been a lot of media events in our country and a lot of semi-military fiction in the media, and I appeal to you, friends and colleagues, to ease the existing intensity a little. “.
