The Greens from Geretsried needed to speak: Karl Bär doubts whether compulsory corona vaccination is necessary.

The topic of traffic was also highlighted

Geretsried – The Greens are fundamentally critical of road construction projects.

In the case of the four-lane expansion and the relocation of the federal highway 11 to the Schwaigwaller Hang, however, the Geretsried local association sees more advantages than disadvantages.

Last week, some members, together with the Greens member of the Bundestag Karl Bär from Holzkirchen, obtained first-hand information from Mayor Michael Müller (CSU).

The meeting was not public, but Marius Schlosser, Karl Bär's employee and secretary in the local Greens association (OV), and city councilor Beate Paulerberg reported on it in the virtual OV meeting.

The Geretsrieder Greens supported the planned transfer, explained Schlosser.

Greens for federal highway relocation: B11 is to be expanded

As reported, a four-lane expansion is to take place from Blumenstraße to the new junction on Böhmwiese.

From Böhmwiese to Tattenkofener Straße, it should continue in two lanes.

The project was already included in the federal transport route plan in 2016 and is to be built and financed entirely by the federal government.

The next step would be to start a planning approval process.

Geretsried does not want a federal road in the center “like in Wolfratshausen”

“Unfortunately, the whole thing is being pushed further and further back,” said Paulerberg in the online meeting.

The relocation would be extremely important for the city: "We don't want a federal highway to go right through our center at some point like in Wolfratshausen." Because when the S7 extension comes, Karl-Lederer-Platz should be connected to Böhmwiese , on which the city then plans shops and apartments.

For this reason, and above all because the relocation is linked to the S-Bahn extension, the Greens are in favor of it, according to Marius Schlosser.

Vaccination rate at 64 percent - Green MP skeptical about vaccination

Bär did not want to comment on the subject.

The seven participants discussed with him on the screen about the general corona vaccination planned by the federal government.

A corresponding request will not come from the Minister of Health, but from a parliamentary group or group, reported the newly elected Green MP.

Former mayor and physician Dr.

Michael Kling criticized the procedure: "We doctors ask ourselves what this is about.

For us, the application is a government task.” In order to enforce general vaccination requirements, Germany would need a vaccination register.

"It's controversial," said Bär.

Nevertheless, he expects a majority in Parliament for the introduction of compulsory vaccination from the age of 18.

Nursing services are concerned about compulsory vaccination: “Can see where we can get specialists from”

Kling as well as the local spokeswoman Melanie Grünewald, who is a nursing service manager by profession, would welcome the general duty.

It is incomprehensible that vaccination should only be mandatory for healthcare workers from March 16: "We can then see where we get our specialists from".

Bär expressed doubts as to whether compulsory vaccination would still be necessary if the coming weeks led to an epidemic due to the numerous infections with the omicron variant.

Local spokesman Florian Hiessl said that the district had a very low vaccination rate of around 64 percent.

After a quiet summer, Hiessl fears another corona wave in autumn and winter.
