Who wants to be a millionaire: At 35, Mariana Lenz still lives in a student residence.

A fact that Günther Jauch horrified, which is why he is doing everything to change his candidate's living situation.

Cologne – In the popular RTL show “Who wants to be a millionaire”, Günther Jauch (65) meets a wide variety of people and keeps picking up exciting stories.

In the episode of January 24th, the moderator again seems to have an interesting lady sitting across from him.

Because Mariana Lenz from Hanover decided at the age of 35 to go to university again.

When Günther Jauch found out that his "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" candidate had moved back to the student residence, he almost seemed to have lost his faith.

From vet to dentistry - that seems to be Mariana Lenz's greatest wish, which is why she recently decided to go back to university.

She also puts up with a lot for this: Instead of living in her own apartment like others her age, she rented a room in a dormitory.

"If you were a veterinarian, you earn a little something there and now you're suddenly a student again.

Does that mean that now it's best to go back to a shared apartment or a one-room apartment?" "Who wants to be a millionaire" presenter Günther Jauch asks his candidate.

"Mr. Jauch, I live in a student residence," she replies.

Skeptical looks follow.

"We've been better off before, haven't we?" he asks.

"I've had my own apartment and my own washing machine before - I've had everything before.

Now I've taken a few steps back," says Mariana.

But the popular moderator does not want to leave it at that.

"It's difficult for you," Jauch probes.

"Is a no-no if I'm being completely honest the most I'm missing is my own washing machine.

So this communal washing, with 200 others who live in my dorm...

Otherwise, I have to tell you that I'm very satisfied," said Mariana Lenz.

Unlike his candidate, Günther Jauch does not seem to be able to be satisfied with these living conditions: "You have to manage to get into an apartment for two more years.

Well, 32,000 euros and that's it for two years," the 65-year-old announces, visibly proud.

Whether that is also the wish of his candidate remains open.

In addition, it is still unclear whether Mariana will actually take home 32,000 euros or more – because the viewers will only find out in the next episode of “Who wants to be a millionaire”, which will be broadcast on January 31 at 8:15 p.m.

We are excited!
