Engineer Haider Al-Naqari, director of the Central Region Branch in the General Company for Electricity and Communication Works for Syrian Networks, stated that the branch's financial appropriations for the current year amounted to 1.3 billion Syrian pounds.
Al-Naqari indicated in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that it seeks to open new business fronts in the electricity and telecommunications sectors, which would contribute to achieving revenues for the company and provide the best services in various economic and service sectors.
During the past year, the company completed works worth 922 million pounds, with an implementation rate of 90 percent, the most important of which is the rehabilitation of the medium and low voltage network and public lighting in the directorates of Al-Sawwana and Khneifis for the benefit of the General Company for Phosphates and Mines and the maintenance of public lighting in the General Company for Homs Refinery.
