The committees assigned to assess damages in the Homs Agriculture Directorate continue their work to determine the percentage of damage as a result of the prevailing weather conditions, especially on the greenhouses planted with strawberries, which constitute the vast majority of this cultivation and on which farmers in the western countryside depend as a main source of income.

The Department of Plant Production in the Directorate of Agriculture in Homs estimated the production of greenhouses of various types of vegetables during the current season at about 13,000 tons, most of which are concentrated in the villages of the western countryside of Homs and provide job opportunities for the people and contribute to improving the level of income.
