The clinic location at Herrschinger Moos is secured.

District Administrator Stefan Frey yesterday got the signature under a purchase offer for 8000 square meters of space.

The municipal council promised him 18,000 square meters on Monday.

Herrsching

– Since taking office, District Administrator Stefan Frey has not been a guest in any other municipal council as often as in Herrsching.

First it was the grammar school, in October the clinic location on Seefelder Straße was added, which also offered a reason to visit on Monday.

The municipality of Herrsching owns a contiguous area on Seefelder Straße, on which the grammar school was originally supposed to be built, which is now being built in Mühlfeld.

Under different conditions and other options, District Administrator Stefan Frey has now reached an agreement with an owner that keeps all options open until the end of 2026.

"This gives us legal certainty and allows us to plan," he emphasized.

Frey had already informed the municipal councils in Seefeld and Herrsching about the new possibilities in October.

And even then he said he was on the right track and that an agreement could be reached soon.

Until it came to the notary appointment, he was initially "put off" again and again, said Frey on Monday.

The district now has three options for the new clinic with 190 beds in the western district that the Free State has promised. In addition to the Herrschinger Moos, 25,000 square meters of land are available on Bahnhofstrasse below the cemetery in Hechendorf. "The Schindlbeck Clinic is still in the room," Frey reported to the municipal council and immediately explained that the building rights there would in all likelihood not be sufficient. “This would only be possible through a complete conversion and an increase in storey. I am assuming that an extension will not be approved, which is why we are working in parallel.”

The land negotiations at Herrschinger Moos were running in parallel. A new clinic requires at least 25,000 square meters of space. The municipality owns around 18,000 square meters. Yesterday afternoon, Frey was able to notarially secure the remaining area for the district. He made no secret of the fact that this property on Seefelder Strasse appeals to him the most.

Against the vote of Johannes Puntsch (FDP), Herrsching's municipal council also welcomed the project and declared its willingness to cede the community-owned area - which also includes the refugee accommodation - subject to an obligation to return it should a clinic not be approved there, or a right to buy it back if the Use as a clinic will be canceled once.

After this "strong signal", as Frey called it, he is now hoping for a commitment from the Ministry of Health for construction there in the first quarter.

Not before, "at the moment they have other things to do".

After that, however, everything could happen quickly, because the district administrator considers a building permit to be possible as early as 2023.
