Disruptions in train traffic and closure of stations in the Sharon area due to works Israel today

During the execution of planned infrastructure works at the Kfar Saba Nordau and Hod Hasharon Sokolov stations, a need was identified to strengthen a number of engineering centers on the station ceiling.


The Hod Hasharon Sokolov and Raanana South train stations will be temporarily closed from today (Wednesday) until further notice, from which free commuters will be operated at the passengers' disposal using the full and travel method and in accordance with demand at Raanana West and Kaf Nordau stations. The reinforcements at the stations are being carried out as part of planned infrastructure works, and these require changes in train traffic in the Sharon area.

The change is due to the transition to operating train traffic on a single track instead of two, until the completion of the reinforcement work which will begin in the coming weeks.

On the train, they mapped out identical stations from an engineering point of view, and as part of this, two more stations were inspected - the first Tel Aviv University and Rishon LeZion - which were found to be in good condition.

Due to the situation, as stated, Israel Railways will operate free transportation at stations where the service is damaged.

From Hod Hasharon Sokolov and Raanana South, free commuters to Raanana West stations, according to Nordau, will be available to passengers. And from Hod Hasharon to Tel Aviv - 249 and 565.

Regarding the Petah Sgula train station, the Israel Railways announced that during the current operating period during the Corona days, which is characterized by a reduction in the frequency of trains at the station, on Sundays to Thursdays trains to Tel Aviv will not stop during most operating hours, except 11:00. 14:30.

We also stated that free shuttles will be operated using the full and travel method and in accordance with the demand from the station to the Petah Tikva station in Kiryat Arie.

At the same time, the Israel Railways stated that the trains to Herzliya will stop at the station in accordance with the existing schedule, adding that with the decrease in the number of train workers and the renewal of regular service, trains will resume from Tel Aviv to Tel Aviv at two trains per hour.

Meanwhile, Israel Railways advised passengers to keep up to date on the website, in the widget, or at the call center (* 5770) and warn of slight changes in train departure times from the platforms at Herzliya, Raanana West, KPS, Rosh HaAyin North, Petah Tikva and Bnei Brak.

In addition, train number 347, which departs from the Herzliya station at 21:11 every Sunday to Thursday and arrives at the Tel Aviv Haganah station at 22:00, will be canceled until further notice.
