The Directorate of Transport in Idlib is working to reduce the financial burden and effort on the citizens living in the countryside liberated from the governorate to conduct a technical examination of their heavy and agricultural machinery when conducting any transaction in this regard.
The Director of Transport in Idlib, Mahdi Al-Daqas, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that after the Ministry of Transport allowed its directorates in the various governorates to conduct a technical examination of the vehicles in the municipalities and city councils, the authorities were directed to submit written requests to assemble the vehicles on a specific day per month in order to send an examining committee from the directorate located in Its temporary headquarters is in the city of Hama to complete the work.
Al-Daks indicated that this step was very welcomed by the citizens because it eased the effort and the financial burden and the travel to Hama.
Al-Daqqas indicated that about 500 vehicles, heavy vehicles and agricultural tractors have been examined in various countries and cities of the countryside liberated from the governorate since the start of the implementation of the new experimental mechanism, noting that work is continuing and at an accelerated pace in order to examine more vehicles during the current year.
During the past year, the Directorate completed 39,973 different transactions, while the value of the collected fees amounted to more than 1.2 billion Syrian pounds, with a noticeable increase over the previous year.
