Lichtenau – In Lichtenau (Ansbach district), several unknown perpetrators blew up the ATM of a VR bank* on Wednesday, January 26th.
According to the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, explosives were used to destroy the ATM.
The thieves managed to escape, presumably in a black Audi towards the A6 motorway.
It is not yet known if and how much money was stolen.

However, the building was badly damaged because the shards of glass were catapulted onto the sidewalk by the blast.
