(ANSA) - GENOA, JANUARY 26 - The Genoa prosecutor has closed the investigation into the Genoa extortion set up by a group of ultras in exchange for the "peace" of typhus. The investigation by the mobile team, coordinated by the prosecutor Francesca Rombolà and the prosecutor Francesco Pinto, had led to the arrest of the chief supporters Massimo Leopizzi, Artur Marashi and Fabrizio Fileni. According to the indictment, they extorted about 327 thousand euros from the company from 2010 to 2017. There were 17 suspects in all, for various reasons, for criminal association aimed at extortion and private violence. According to the accusation, they created an intimidating atmosphere and constant pressure towards the then president Enrico Preziosi, the managers and the players.


    According to the investigators, the group of fans threatened the company, in the person of the managing director Alessandro Zarbano, to pay the money through invoicing for non-existent operations in favor of Sicurart of which Leopizzi was an occult partner.

The group is also accused of attacking players and coaches when they did not win or did not play the way they wanted.


    Among the alleged episodes, the threats and intimidation of other rossoblù fans who did not respect the directives of Leopizzi on the behavior to be kept inside the stadium when for example it was decided not to enter in protest or on the contrary to contest the players.

Among the episodes of violence there was also the threat of burning the shop of a Sampdoria baker forced to give free focaccia and discounted beers to Genoa and the injuries to some policemen at the end of the Genoa-Crotone match on 22 January 2017.


    But not only: c 'were fictitious headings of companies and companies in front of their names to avoid possible seizures by the judiciary.
