Zhen Weiqiao said on the RTHK program "Millennium Times" this morning that more than 40 employees of the original cleaning contractor in Kwai Chung Village had been quarantined. Six took over and provided emergency support. The cleaning scope included 10 buildings including Yat Kwai Building and Ying Kwai Building, but not Xia Kui Building.
The confirmed cases in Kwai Chung Village are distributed in 12 buildings.
Zhen Weiqiao pointed out that when he took over, the garbage of many buildings in Kwai Chung Village had accumulated, and the newly stationed personnel in the past few days had been removing it. Due to the need to cooperate with the residents' inspection time, the large garbage had to be transported by elevator, so it was not cleared in time.
Zhen said that the rubbish accumulated in 10 buildings has been basically emptied yesterday, and it is believed that it will return to normal today.
He also said that there are 46 full-time cleaners on duty in the morning and about 40 in the evening. After that, they will take out the garbage in the morning and evening, clean the lobby 4 times a day, and remove the stains on each floor in the afternoon.

Zhen Weiqiao said that under the influence of the encirclement, residents of other buildings did not have dinner in the evening market. As a result, the amount of garbage was three to four times higher than usual.
He also emphasized that the cleaners have sufficient protection and wear full-length protective clothing. They will also avoid gatherings of people during lunch, and they will change their protective clothing after meals.
