Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Amin, Director General of the Syrian Grain Corporation, said in a statement that work is continuing in all the joints of the establishment, especially the mills and silos to ensure the security of wheat and flour without interruption, pointing out that there is a sufficient stock of wheat that suffices the milling needs until the seventh month, when the process of supplying wheat continues Continuing through the implementation of the contract with the Russian side, which includes the import of one million tons, of which more than 600,000 tons have been implemented.

Al-Amin said: In parallel with the process of supporting wheat stocks, we are working to increase the production capacities of the general mills by conducting rehabilitation and modernization operations for the Yarmouk Mill in Daraa, developing production lines and modernizing machines in the Aleppo Mill, while a large percentage of the rehabilitation process of Ibn Al-Walid Mill in Homs has been completed and a plan is prepared to start modernizing the mill. Old Lattakia, referring to the completion of the maintenance and rehabilitation works of Tishreen Mill and raising its production capacity to more than four times by relying on our national cadres and our own capabilities.

Al-Amin pointed out that there are two modern mills under construction that will enter service during the current year in the Tal Kalakh area of ​​Homs, with a production capacity of 600 tons per day to meet the needs of the central and coastal region, and a mill in Salhab in Hama governorate with a capacity of 300 tons.

In turn, Yassin Seyouni, head of the Vocational Union of Food Industry Workers, touched on the great role played by workers in mills and bakeries through the completion of rehabilitation and modernization of production lines with our local expertise, which contributed to increasing flour production and improving its quality, pointing to the importance of decisions that contributed to supporting workers financially and morally, including an increase Compensation for productivity incentives, the nature of work and compensation for overtime work, which constitutes a great incentive to develop and increase production.
