The Russian Interior Ministry's database shows that Oleg Navalny, who was charged with organizing an illegal demonstration about a year ago and sentenced to one year probation, is wanted by the authorities.

The brother of the politician and opposition man Alexei Navalny, Oleg Navalny, was added to the wanted list of the Russian government today (Wednesday), according to the database of the Interior Ministry in the country.

The background to this is the indictment of the brother villains about six months ago for the "sanitation" offense after he called on social media for activists to go out to demonstrate against the regime, in violation of the country's corona regulations at the time.

Due to this, Oleg Navalny was tried and sentenced last August to one year on probation, but the Russian Federal Prison Service (FSIN) last night suddenly demanded that his sentence be commuted to actual imprisonment, ostensibly due to "suspicion of evading damages and committing a new criminal offense."

What is that criminal offense?

This was not specified by the authorities.

Oleg Navalny's lawyer Nikos Freskov told Russian news agency TASS that he had not yet read the new petition and did not know the motives behind the decision.

"Sanitation file"

The affair began in late January 2021, when mass protests and protests against President Putin and his regime spread across Russia following the arrest of politician and opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Already during the huge demonstrations in Moscow, which were attended by tens of thousands of people, many of the regime's opponents and protest organizers were arrested by the authorities.

Later, in August of that year, the Moscow District Court sentenced Oleg Navalny to one year probation, due to his involvement in organizing demonstrations to release his brother and in light of the fact that according to Moscow mayor orders in force at the time, no public event in the city was allowed due to the spread of the virus. The corona.

Oleg Navalny for his part pleaded guilty and claimed his innocence all the way.

Ten people were charged in the affair, which has been dubbed the "sanitation case," including associates of Nabalani, including Lyubov Sobol and Kira Yarmish.

The indictment alleges that the defendants posted on social media "calling for an unlimited circle of people to take part in an uncoordinated rally, ignoring sanitary facilities that could have led to the spread of mass diseases."

Meanwhile, last night it became known that the authorities in Moscow included Alexei Navalny, who was poisoned and as mentioned is now sitting in jail, on the list of the country's terrorist organizations.

Nabalani's eight senior aides (45) were also blacklisted, including Sobol and Georgi Alborov, and their bank accounts were frozen.

Nabalani, a lawyer by profession and one of Putin's most prominent opponents, was arrested in February last year while landing in Moscow after returning from Germany following an assassination attempt by alleged Russian intelligence agents, using the "Novichuk" nerve gas.

He was later sentenced and imprisoned for two and a half years for violating the terms of his imprisonment from a previous trial from 2014.

His arrest sparked waves of protest not seen in the country for years.
