Rise of the corona wave in Rhineland-Palatinate unbroken

The seven-day incidence of corona infections in Rhineland-Palatinate has reached a high for the twelfth day in a row.
On Wednesday there were 785.5 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week, according to the state investigation office.
On Tuesday the value was still 716.5.
Mainz – The state’s health authorities recorded 8,364 new infections within one day (as of 2:10 p.m.) – more than ever in one day since the pandemic began two years ago.
A corona infection has currently been detected in 72,184 people in Rhineland-Palatinate - more than the city of Neuwied has inhabitants.

More than 4500 new corona infections in Rhineland-Palatinate
The hospitalization incidence - the number of hospital admissions per week per 100,000 population - climbed to 5.15 on Wednesday from 4.28 on Tuesday.
The number of reported deaths from Covid-19 patients rose by 13 to 4789.
Six cities and counties now have a four-digit, seven-day incidence.
This value is now highest in the district of Bad Kreuznach with 1252.3.
This is followed by the state capital of Mainz (1242.2), the cities of Kaiserslautern (1040.5) and Trier (1024.6) and the districts of Bitburg-Prüm (1018.4) and Bernkastel-Wittlich (1004.6).
The lowest incidence was 408.8 in the Mayen-Koblenz district.
