(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 26 - "The National Association of School Managers intends once again to represent to the Government and public opinion the increased workload to which school managers and their collaborators have been subjected for two weeks in the application of the safety protocols introduced after the Christmas holidays ": said Paolino Marotta, president of the National Association of School Managers (Andis).

"Whole days spent making tracing, trying to interact with health companies, managing communications with families, activating integrated or remote digital teaching, checking staff certifications, organizing face-to-face activities for pupils with disabilities or with Special Educational Needs,to deal with disputes initiated by no vax staff ".

"An unspeakable stress, also due to the uncertainty and changeability of attendance and above all to the absolute inaction of the health companies, which by now have downloaded all the requirements relating to testing and tracing to the schools. We consider that in many primary schools the possibility is no longer guaranteed to carry out the T0 buffer to the whole class immediately, effectively canceling the value of surveillance with testing ".

"Furthermore, it is clear to everyone that the epidemiological surge is not decreasing, that the data relating to the number of pupils and students in quarantine in many regions have almost doubled in the space of a week, as can also be seen today from the news agencies. ".

"The ANDIS therefore asks the Government to acknowledge that the quarantine protocols have not been able to ensure continuity in face-to-face teaching, so every useful form of simplification of the health regulations in schools must be urgently adopted, also to give breath to the activities proper to a educational institution".

"We are in a crucial phase of the year: we need to start or complete the ballots; families are grappling with enrollments for next year, whose deadline is January 28; in many situations, school managers are unable to replace staff who are absent due to unavailability temporary substitutes; the 2022 Annual Program must be resolved; schools are grappling with PON FSE projects; the students of the last year of secondary schools are waiting to know the procedures for carrying out the State Exams ".

"Health security is certainly important, but it can no longer fully absorb the commitment and responsibility of school managers, who are required by law to promote, coordinate and manage all administrative and educational activities.educational institution ". (ANSA).
