Seven-day incidence in SH exceeds 1,000

For the first time, the seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein exceeded the mark of 1,000 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.
According to the state registration office on Wednesday, the value was 1008.2.
It was 959.0 the day before and 844.9 on Wednesday last week.
Kiel – The number of new infections registered rose again significantly from 5730 on Tuesday to 6117. On Wednesday a week ago there were 5459 new infections.
The hospitalization incidence, which is important for corona measures and indicates how many corona patients per 100,000 people came to clinics within a week, remained almost constant at 6.25 (Tuesday: 6.36).
The number of Covid 19 patients in hospitals hardly changed at 339 - on Tuesday it was 338. The number of Covid 19 sufferers in intensive care units, on the other hand, increased again by 5 to 50.
Of them, 31 still had to be ventilated.
The number of people who died in connection with the virus within one day is unusually high: eleven.
The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has thus risen to 1953. The number of people who have recovered since then was given by the state registration office at 130,600.

The district of Stormarn continued to record the highest seven-day incidence on Wednesday with 1798.9, followed by Flensburg with 1214.2.
The district of Dithmarschen is still at the bottom with a value of 525.3.
