One of the few concerts in 2021 was the performance of "The Heimatdamisch" on the Blomberg.

Band leader Florian Rein is now planning the tour for this year and is already writing songs for a new CD.

The Tölzer Bad "Heimatdamisch" is looking for a singer.

Florian Rein hopes to be able to carry out the 2022 tour as planned.

– The band “The Heimatdisch” was only able to play five of their 30 to 40 planned concerts last year.

This year it should be different, the tour should go to Great Britain, France, among other places.

But for that the group first needs a new singer, who takes care of the vocals alongside Conny Kreitmeier.

"Our previous singer has scheduling problems this year," explains band leader Florian Rein.

That is why they are looking for a replacement for Michi Wiedenmann.

After a call on Facebook, “many interesting candidates have already reported,” says Rein.

Many commented under the post in English and the group actually reached international interested parties.

"One hot candidate comes from Wales, others from Holland," says Rein.

But singers from Northern Germany and Berlin who want to join the band have already reported.

"In terms of logistics, it would of course be easier if it were someone from the area," says Rein.

"But why not also from abroad?" He has already taken a number of candidates into the "finals", but is happy about every other one.

"We'll take a closer look at a few of them." The potential new singers send in audio samples or videos.

"We'll try to get some of them into the studio in Tölz." Of course, being able to sing well is a prerequisite, but "it also has to be a special type - and preferably nice too," says Rein, laughing.

Because especially when you're on tour for a longer period of time, it has to fit humanly.

New CD will be out at the end of the year

This year's tour basically mirrors last year's 1:1.

“But new things are being added, and many inquiries are coming in.” The first events in February and March are currently being canceled again.

The problem for everyone is the lack of planning security.

"That's why they prefer to cancel everything now.

I guess we won't be performing until April at the earliest," says Rein.

Finding dates for postponed concerts is difficult.

Because all band members are active in several formations.

“You really have to juggle there.

We're already planning for 2023. But you learn to stay cool, it's just the way it is," says Rein.

"We look forward to every performance that takes place this year."

Bigger things are planned for 2023

Among the highlights he counts the "Woodstock der Blasmusik" in Austria in July, but also the England and Scotland tour, which is in the program for November.

Especially on the island, "The Heimatdamisch" has "an amazing number of fans," says Rein.

Much of the current CD "Let there be brass" will be heard on the tours.

Rein reveals that he is already working on the next CD.

"It's my turn to write some tracks." The record may even come out by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the group, which has dedicated itself to modern chart, rock and pop songs in the Oberkrainer sound, is still living on the few appearances of the past year.

“We were totally grateful for every single concert,” Florian Rein looks back.

“One highlight was definitely the performance on the Blomberg.

You enjoy something like that all the more.

So far this year, no performance is planned in Bad Tölz or the immediate vicinity.

But – and Florian Rein does not reveal more: “We are planning something bigger for 2023.”
